When reading the Chinese city, which this book sets out to do, it is not the well-known cities such as Beijing, Shanghai, and Xi an that are in the focus of attention, but rather the essentially Chinese of the Chinese city, those characteristics or attributes that are more or less shared by all Chinese cities. The spotlight is on their spatial grammar, their syntax, in short: their code. Only by deciphering their common traits a view to the underlying structure of Chinese cities is opened, and we can begin to reasonably evaluate and classify the diversity of impressions. Deciphering the code of the Chinese city also enables the author to read new Chinese towns designed by Western architects. Thus, readers are provided with valuable insight on China s booming urbanization and urban development.

Typographic Campaign for a Design University

I was working on a typography system based on A4-format to install it scrabble-like in my design university
"Burg Giebichenstein". It was selected for the campaign for the 90th anniversary of my university! From the spatial installation I derived the 2D elements like posters, programs, postcards and vip-cards. My claim
"Between myth and everyday life" integrates the historic location (a castle from 960 AC) and the present work
of students.

This is simple but awesome. I feel like the design speaks for itself.

For 23 years I worked as an Art Director in Milan before I decided to start up my own research of a new trasparent and super-light material for jewelry - OROTRASPARENTE.

With my new collection "Cirkuita" old technological junk becomes alive creating new icons of information era from discarded components.
From mythology to archaic poetry, from western sensibility to eastern one: OROTRASPARENTE and Cirkuita came from a deep study of arcaic symbologies of all cultures started many years ago.
Each junk component can finally be appreciated also for its aestethical value, usually hidden and neglected. One-off artworks strictly handmade.
